As I’m moving into the Kingsland area, I thought it gave me a brilliant excuse to try out some of the local cafes, bars, and restaurants. Not that one really needs an excuse though!
Jaan is the ideal place for lovers of authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Jann has an full mezze and shish menu, and great vegetarian options as well. Dishes are cooked on the open fire in the kitchen which is viewable from the dining area.

I thought this place had great food which was authentic clean and fresh.
Perhaps more kurdish than Turkish though in my opinion.
I Love the baklava and the great turkish/kurdish coffee.
In my opinion its the best Kurdish in town.
As I have some vegan friends I want to point out that the Vegetable mezze was excellent and because my husband is as far from vegan as you can be the mixed charcoal grilled meats were a hit with him.
We also had pizzas which were fantastic and the pida bread was to die for.
