In 2015 Palate celebrates ten years since the restaurant first opened. Head chef and owner Mat McLean and his team deliver one of the best food and wine experiences in the Waikato. Located beside the river in the heart of Hamilton the spacious, monochromatic, split-level restaurant provides the perfect setting for fresh, seasonal top quality produce matched to a stunning wine list. We visited Palate recently to try their Degustation. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the service was beyond excellent. The food was extremely well presented and delicious although being a large eater I was still a little hungry at the end. Rebecca had a slice however which she only rates as...

A true suburban corner shop style ethnic restaurant, once inside the diner is greeted by a small space, with formica tables and kitchen chairs. This place is not about atmosphere, it is about good food....
I ate breakfast at Cima every Wednesday for nearly 2 years. They made the most wonderful omelets and I do miss them.
